Emily first caught a glimpse of the potential held in the built environment in her first year design studio at Montana State University, in Bozeman. Here, she realized, along with many mystified classmates, that architecture reached beyond what she preconceived as a "building." This led to her fascination with how design, in all of it's forms, whether a sculptural installation or an urban high-rise, contributes to human wellbeing.
Having grown up loving to spend time outdoors, furthered by her time in Montana, Emily hopes to better protect and care for the natural world through design.
