Montgomery Place — St. Paul

Late in the first year of the pandemic, boutique developer and risk-taker Streetfront Development approached Locus Architecture to design a facing pair of modest Missing Middle buildings in St. Paul’s rapidly changing Merriam Park neighborhood - walking distance to Snelling Avenue, Whole Foods, Allianz Field, bus lines and bike lanes,

We designed two beautiful building blocks with window groupings as both an abstract façade composition – an urban sculpture – as well as a tool for connecting residents to each other – as they see fit.

Our collaboration with the owner resulted in creating a unique human-scale building which encourages occupants to get out and connect with others in their home city.
